1. Introduction

   Color Maps is a puzzle game that runs as a Discord Activity, provided by Hammertime e.U. ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data the game processes when you play it inside Discord, why, and what rights you have.
   
   We keep it short because we collect little: just enough to sign you in with your Discord account and keep your game progress, so you can carry on where you left off on any device.

2. Data We Collect

   When you start Color Maps in Discord, Discord asks you to authorize the game with the "identify" permission. With your consent, Discord shares the following with us:
   
   - Your Discord user ID
   
   - Your Discord username and display name
   
   We do not receive your email address, your password, your friends list, your servers or your messages, and we do not ask for any other permission.
   
   While you play, the game stores your progress with us, linked to your Discord user ID:
   
   - Your game progress: which maps you have finished, your stars and your best results
   
   - Your in-game items and rewards
   
   - When you first and last signed in, and when your progress last changed
   
   To keep the service secure, your IP address is processed when your device connects to our server, for example to limit repeated sign-in attempts. We do not store it with your game data.
   
   The game also keeps a copy of your progress and a sign-in token in your browser's local storage on your device, so it can keep working when our server cannot be reached.
   
   Color Maps does not use advertising, advertising identifiers or tracking cookies, and it does not load analytics inside Discord.
   
   

3. How We Use Your Data

   We use this data only to run the game: to sign you in, to save your progress and items, and to bring them back when you play again, on any device.
   
   The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you to provide the game (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for security measures such as rate limiting, our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and available (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
   
   We do not use your data for profiling, advertising or automated decisions.
   
   

4. Data Sharing

   We do not sell, rent or trade your data. Your game data is stored on servers we operate ourselves and is not shared with third parties, except where we are required to by law.
   
   Color Maps runs inside Discord, so Discord processes your use of the Activity under its own Privacy Policy. Please refer to Discord's Privacy Policy for how Discord handles your data.
   
   

5. Purchases

   Color Maps currently offers nothing for sale on Discord. If we add purchases in the future, they will be handled by Discord's payment system; we will never receive your payment details, and we will update this policy before any purchase is offered.
   
   

6. Data Retention

   We keep your Discord user ID, name and game progress for as long as you play Color Maps, so your progress is there when you come back. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete it as described below.
   
   Your sign-in to the game expires after 30 days, after which the game signs you in again through Discord.
   
   

7. Your Rights

   Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:
   
   - Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy of it
   
   - Have inaccurate data corrected
   
   - Have your data erased
   
   - Restrict or object to its processing
   
   - Data portability
   
   - Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde)
   
   To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@hammertime.studio and include your Discord username. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on your request.
   
   

8. Children's Privacy

   Color Maps is available to anyone who may use Discord under Discord's own age requirements. We do not knowingly collect more data from children than described above. If you believe a child has given us data without the consent required in their country, please contact us and we will delete it.
   
   

9. Data Deletion

   To have your Color Maps data deleted, email hello@hammertime.studio with your Discord username. We will delete your account record and all your saved progress and items from our servers. Afterwards, the game starts from the beginning the next time you play.
   
   To remove the copy on your device, clear the Activity's site data in your browser or Discord app. You can also remove the game's access to your Discord account at any time under Discord's User Settings, Authorized Apps.
   
   Deleting your Color Maps data does not affect your Discord account, which remains under Discord's control.
   
   

10. Who Is Responsible

    The controller responsible for processing your data is Hammertime e.U., hello@hammertime.studio. Further company details are listed in our imprint.
    
    

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy, for example when the game gains new features. Changes take effect once they are posted on this page, and the version date below changes with them. If a change affects how we use your data in a significant way, we will let you know in the game.
